I was hoping to post something nicer after so long time without any post, but sadly that's not the case.
Lately I'm not playing very often due to the imminent school exams, so yesterday I logged on after a few days of study and I was told of one of the most horrible bad news ever: Kiraa is not with us anymore.

First I didn't want to believe it and, somehow, I still don't. I don't wan't to say much anymore, words wouldn't express how sad I am now.

Wherever you are now, rest in peace my friend.

It's been so long since the last update that so many things happened and I don't know where to start. ;D
The past months haven't been great, personally I've been hella busy with school and I still am.

In the linkshell we haven't passed a great period too, between October and December many ppl took a break from the game or either quit, eventho, thankfully, we've a strong group of ppl who loves the shell and so we kept going on.

On January we recruited a few members and some old ones come back, so we're doing again whatever we were used to do before, which makes me and who spend his time in the LS those past months very happy. ;D

But let's see a part of what happened in those updateless months!

We've killed 2 Dynamis Lord this month, we got just 2 Mantles. Grats Albahraini and Pere!
It was awesome to kill it again, this time it was just me as DRK and I don't have a Kraken Club anymore, so I used Ridill and it worked just fine.
We've done a few Ouryu's run the past week, it's always a nice fight but after a while it gets a bit tiring for my eyes. :> We got 6 Bahamut v2 Orbs to burn now. (hey, Ouryu's merc service is open!)

Well, as I just said I don't have a Kraken Club anymore since I sold it. I bought a Speed Belt, eventho I'm still camping KA to get the R/E belt, so I can sell the Speed and gain the money back. I tried to craft a pair of Dusk Gloves+1, but ... 0/7. ;D (I'm interested on buying a pair for a very decent price~aka less then 20m)
Diabolik, Kheld, Revenge, Dantesparda and Zerta helped me to get an Askar Head, I was lucky and I got it at the second try. Thanks a lot guys. ^^

In the previous update i was lvl60 with my Black Mage, now me and Nikki are almost 74. Mount Zhayolm the Black Mage's second house for real...

The expansion was pretty cool when it was released, the first week was awesome! The story, campaign battles and ... and ... and nothing. It got boring now. Campaign is a great invention, but need more contents...

Yeah, I still didn't get the expansion due to the crappy italian delivery service, but, oh well, considering that I've been busy with school and in game lvling my BLM with Nikki's one, I'm still patient.

So, we started Salvage on the 24th of September. It's amazing, 100 minutes of event and I never got bored.
We've already completed a body piece as you can see in the upper image, so yeah, considering we started 1 month ago we can consider ourself VERY very lucky. Grats Uchi!

It's been a while since I posted here!
School is stealing most of my time, it's going very well, so I'm pretty happy about it, but everyday, when I finish to study, I'm very tired, which is influencing a lot my playtime.
Many things happened in FFXI, about 2 weeks ago we completed Caishen's Aegis, killed a few Ouryu for the guests who wanted to use our Mercenary Service, zerged a few Bahamut v2, got a Koenig Cuirass for Floppy, 2 pair of N.Legs for Narutosama and Albahraini, Koenig Legs for Nikki, Crimson Mask for Ray, etc etc...
Salvage is exciting, we started a month ago or so. Now we're attempting to kill LBC in Bhaflau Thickets to complete Uchi's Ares body, it doesn't seems too hard, we just need to speed up on the kill.
I'm trying to lvl my BLM with nikkis one, we're now lvl 45, but honestly I don't have much will of playing due to school, so it's going pretty slow.
Nyzul Assault droprate is horrible, but lately we've been lucky. Allenby and me got a pair of Goliard Clogs, when we ended farming lvl20 floor we moved to lvl80. Two Askar Korazin dropped, Toyer and me got it.

My Myth passion is getting higher and higher, I bought Rhadamantys and its appendix for a very cheap price and it looks awesome. :D

The start of this week was quite interesting. Between school and FFXI I've been very busy.
School is already sucking a lot of my time, I'm very tired but the will of studying is taking over of my lazyness, so I hope to keep it up. In FFXI we started with Salvage again, it's the hella fun. This time it seems we've a pretty stable and motivated group, so I guess and I hope we will go far.
The Ouryu Mercenary Service went very smooth, we broke our record of 28mins to a 21mins one.

So yesterday Maddin, Ultimo, Pere, Tatsutaru, Silpion and a couple of ppl that are not from my LS attemped to kill Xolotl. When it popped they claimed it and FinalInjustic followed them. Around 20% Ultimo got charmed and while Maddin was trying to sleep him, Xolotl went yellow for a second and FI claimed it. Yellow NM=Free game? Ok fine, I understand and I will consequentely act the same with them.
Oh, I was about to forget about the entertaining part! When Ultimo got charmed, Casey from FJ kindly killed him.

It took only 13 days to be delivered from Hong Kong and I didn't have to pay any extra fee, so cool~

This Dohko costed me only 43 Euro and if I had to buy it in Italy I would have spent at least 60.

Hi everyone, it's been a while since I posted here.

Well well... What happened in over a month? Basically as I said in the previous post I've been in vacation with Nikki. She come here in Sicily first, then we went in Holland together.
The place looked like a paradise to me, the ppl were great, I met some of my LS fellow (vivi, kit, appie), Evenstar and Snowing.
To summarize, since my friends talked about our meeting in their LJs already, it was an awesome vacation, me and Nikki had great time together.
At my return in Italy I had to study a lot for an exam session of a week, now I'm kind of free for a few weeks, then I'll restart with the usual routine again.

Talking about FF, I didn't play it much, first cause of my vacation, then cause of the exams, but again, summarize time:







Oh I was about to forget, the next week we gonna re-open the Ouryu Mercenary Service, tons of ppl asked me if they could do a run, but for some reason I can't find anymore the papper in which I write the names, so just in case poke me, Nikkitomi, Allenby, Vivify or Kheld in game for a confirmation or simply send me a PM in AV forums.

Almost one year passed since I made AbsoluteVirtual. So far I had the funniest year ever in Final Fantasy XI, I'm so glad I could still play with few ppl from my old shell and that I met some new awesome ppl to play with.
Running a shell wasn't easy, but I knew it since the start, my sackholders helped me a lot and accomplished their duty in the best way possible. Like I just said, leading a shell wasn't easy, but somehow it was easier then when I was a sackholder in Dius. Probably what made the miracle was the way in which me and the few ppl who followed me from Dius see the game. We were bored enough of the drama outside, but mostly inside the shell. There were two side who couldn't play together, there was anger between sackholders and I didn't help much on it, back in time I was took by the anger too and probably I still should apologize to someone, but so much time passed, we're adults and the life still goes on anyway~
When I made AV I knew that probably I would grab with me the bad name of Dius, in fact that's what happened, after one year in which I think we tried our best to get along and be fair with the other shell there're still haters who doesn't want to look around them and make the point. After one year I still hear bullcrap like "AV needs 50 ppl to kill something", when we barely have 25 members during events that are not Einherjar and when it happens that more ppl gather is becouse my policy expect my members to be active if they wanna belong to AbsoluteVirtual, slackers can play in other linkshells. Is surprising how ppl who doesn't know anything about you and who never talked with you are ready to point the finger declaring we're bad ppl and again, it's not even about saying we're a large LS, when anyway we're not bigger then any other (real) HNMshell in Ragnarok, there's still who talks about botting and that's amazing considering that in european timezone not many shell camped till few months ago, it was mostly us and few hold parties from other shells (and when there were hold PTs we were also used to lose pulls to them, so yeah "50" vs 6 and when the 6 ppl wins over the "50" its totally normal, eventho when they lose against the triple of their ppl we're botters, meh@whiners ;D). Lately a spanish Linkshell showed up in aery and few other Linkshells are back to camp in european timezone, so pratically we didn't get any more free Fafnir/Nidhogg and stopped to "chain" them, thankfully we got 3 ridill over 6 Fafnir, but anyway back to the point, beside these bad voices that are annoying to hear as linkshell leader, I still had the best year in FFXI in which me and my shell accomplished pretty much everything there's in the game, we didn't have much experience beside ground HNMs at start and some of the ppl I got in AV didn't even fought a Fafnir before, eventho if I look at our HNM/Sea/Wyrms Records a smile automatically comes in my face.
Anyway, why I didn't say all that on the 6th of August (day in which AV makes one year)? Becouse from the 28th of the current month till the 18th of August I'm in vacataion! /o/
From the 28th to the 8th Nikki gonna come in Italy, then I'm going in Holland (Amsterdam pepepepe~), so we're also gonna meet Vivi and Kitkit. (I'm scared of being eaten by Vivi, but don't tell her tho...)

But back to FFXI! We finally got rid of Einherjar Wing1, since now everyone has the clear of the first 3 chambers we gonna farm only the Wing2. Of course in over 10 runs we still didn't get an Abjuration, not like wing1 has anything interesting but oh well, treasah is treasah!


Something very funny we did lately is Kirin in TP burn. We attempted to kill it twice, the first time we had 3 Ridills and 1 MNK as massive DMG and with 2hr we took less then 2mins to kill it. The second time we had 1 more Ridill and no 2hr, we took around 3mins and half to kill it. Congratulations to Leviont for his Dragoon who owns now an Hecatomb Harness, to Fatfields for the Shura Togi and Vivify for her new Kirin's Osode!
Right after Kirin we were all excited so we farmed sky triggers and incredibly got everything we could... That's anyway what I ment before when I was talking about active members...


With the shield attestation we're having bad times, beside the JP linkshell who take Beaucedine before us, the NM dropped 3~4 times the Great Axe attestation and once the Great Sword one, instead lately I'm having a lot of fun with COP Dynamis'.
Our last Valkurm dropped a Ninja Sash (Iceheart), a Valor Cape (Uchi) and a Warrior's Stone (Fassbinder). Our last Bubu was simply great, it dropped:

Nyzul is sucking, we're at floor 80 but the NMs never drops anything, from the next time we gonna try them with a Thief, maybe our luck will increase. :x

Fifteen years passed but the memory of Paolo Borsellino and Giovanni Falcone is still alive in the heart of most of the italians ppl who have to thank these 2 great anti-mafia magistrate if mafia isn't so powerfull like it was 10~20 years ago. Without any dubt they made Italy a better place, expecially Sicily, the place in which I live, in which the mafia was corrupting the soul of an entire island. They both were killed by mafia 15 years ago, but their death wasn't useless at all, they didn't only put in jail tons of mafious, but they gave an example to my generation which will hopefully be transmited to the upcoming generations.

Two words: GREAT MOVIE!
I didn't feel so high during a movie since i was a child, siply great! Probably if you expect a "deep" movie it's not something you'd like, who want to watch Transformers have to expect a cool movie about Autobots vs Decepticons.
10/10 for special effect, 8/10 for the storyline, 10/10 for the soundtrack, 10/10 for Megan Fox sexyness.
The only thing that sux is that at the end of the movie, when you want to go back at home, your car won't transform, It's shocking, really. :/
And now I need to get some action figures... Looks like hasbro made a decent job, nothing cool as the old one, but not bad at all.

AUTOBOTS, TRANSFORM AND ROLL OUT!!!!

What to say about Episode 37... I really liked the way in which it ended.
It's very different from the manga ending, the manga is a lot more cruel compared to the anime, also the final meaning is totally different.

Differences between anime and manga:
Light totally freak out in the manga, way more then the anime. The author emphasize that Light have totally lost, so he's alone.
When Light asks for the help of Mikami, in the manga, Mikami screams to Light that he's not a God, he's just a food who brought him in this absurd situation, then he asks for Misa help, but Near replys that Misa is in a Hotel, so Light asks to himself in a very rude way what is that idiot doing in a hotel in a moment like this, then he asks for Takada help, but Near replys that Light already killer her. In the anime he asks for the help of all the listed ppl, eventho no one answer.
In the manga Mikami doesn't suicide at all and Light doesn't escape from the building, he asks Ryuuk to kill everyone, so Ryuuk bring the Death Note on his hands and write "Yagami", so Light desperated pray him to don't continue, showing that after all he was just a young boy that never wanted to lose like L said once, he only knew how to use his intelligence more then other ppl. In this part a very sadic Ryuuk shows how careless he was since the start about Light' life and kill him.
The author want to remark in a very cruel and terryfying way how alone Light was in that moment, if you read the last chapter you probably will understend better what I mean.
In the manga, after Light's death, you will see the world few months later (or years... I don't remember). The "new world" isn't anything else then the old world, crimes increased again, police have a lot of work to do.
Matsuda asks to himself if they did the right thing, he doesn't believe in Near and asks to himself if Near didn't manipulate Mikami with the Death Note and then killed him (Mikami dies in prison after 10 days or so) and more over, Near says that he destroyed the Death Note, but no one really knows the truth. After these thoughts you see Aizawa that become Chief and the new L, aka Near, that helps the police. When they show L, there's Near that is eating a piece of chocolate, a little tribute to Mello.
When this scene ends there're the last 2 pages in which is showed a procession of ppl that in the night prays Kira, like a God, to come back.
The meaning of the manga is that even if Light is dead, he made it... He become the God of the new world, after all, somehow, he win.
The meaning of the anime is more poetic, Light didn't win at all and while he runs he see himself when the power of the Death Note didn't obfuscate his mind yet... When he still was pure and maybe he regret what he've done till now, maybe not.
Ryuuk seems to have pity and deprives Light from a life of imprisonment. "We killed some boredom together..."
Very cool the part in which Light, almost dead, see L for the last time... Well, very poetic ending imo, I liked it.

Reading some forumus I noticed that not many ppl expected Light's death, eventho its clearly showed in the opening and in the ending song. In the opening Light surpass Mikami, Takada and Mello, then everything breaks like a mirror (he didn't surpass Near), instead in the ending you clearly see Light dead in the ground.
In my opinion they couldn't give a more reasonable death to Light, I enjoyed both endings, after all Light that win over everyone and reigns in the world with his black note book would be a bit boring, no? ^^;

Death note was one of the best anime I ever saw in the last 10 years, now it's time to review it again. *'-')

Yesterday we managed to enter in the wing2 of Einherjar with about 20 ppl, most of the others didn't have all the clear yet, which means the next week we'll be back to wing1. Inside we found leechs and jelly... We didn't take too much to kill the leechs, eventho we had one BLM only, so the jelly won over us. We killed a pink bird which popped a chest with a lot of temp items: 11 scroll of RR, 7 bottle of amrita (Refresh and Regen - 5mp/hp tick), 2 bottle of fool's drink (nullifies magic dmg for a while), many Dusty Potion and Ether.
What I found odd is that there wasn't any boss at all, so I'm guessing that if we had 3 more BLM we could have won this very easy, way easier then wing1... Anyone actually did wing2 and can confirm that there's no boss or we were just lucky? Maybe it spawn after you kill all the mobs... I'm clueless.
The last boss that we fought in wing1 was Hakenmann, a big fish that does a very nasty aoe, eventho shadows can cover it. Trying to Stun his AoE is a good idea, but Stun will resist after a while. When we fought Hakenmann we had 10mins left, I was DRK and I could souleter twice, otherwise I don't know if we would have won.

Talking about something else, I tested ridill/joy vs mana/ridill a bit more and it seems that ridill/joy was very powerfull only in Caederva Mire, I prefere using mana/ridill anywhere else honestly, so I went for 8axe/8sword and decreased club merit to 4.
I completly dropped Double Attack and now I'm going for 5Berserk/5Aggressor, I actually miss only the last lvl of aggressor to cap (again) the first group of WAR merit.
Here some Vorpal DMG when I still didn't have sword capped...


Gear wise, till I get my hand on a suppa I decided to use the Ethereal Earring over Brutal, I think it's the best choice for now.
Someone asked me in game why I prefere AF2 legs over Byakko's Haidate in WS, well the answer is easy, me and a friend tested them with a parser and AF2 won. The Double attack+1 from the legs seems to work very good in WS, in fact watch what a WAR can do with a pair of Warrior's Cuisses and >without< 2hr:

Probably for who doesn't have merits in Axe its better to use Byakko's in ws, eventho the best way is doing some tests on your own.

Uchi's Aegis is close to be completed. We planned to get the various items that are needed for the upgrade. We actually killed Amaltheia, a Ram NM that drops an item for the stage 1, from tomorrow we'll start with the Beaucedine Attestation.


Yesterday I finally completed the quest to become Sergeant Major... The worst quest I ever done in this game, you have to complete 3 mini games, if you fail you have to wait one vana diel day to repeat again, who passed thru this pain knows what I mean...

From a while in the LS we've been complaining that we never got a pair of N.Legs off Nidhogg (oh yeah, it sounds odd...) and just one Ridill off so many Fafnir...
The last week was awesome, we got a Nidhogg and for the first time we saw that...

Ok ok... Honestly there're better drops, someone lol'd, someone was very happy. Personally talking I was surprised since for all the fight long I've been talking with Kheld about our feelings... 2 Adaman Hauberk! 1 Adaman and 1 Dalma! No no, 2 Koenig bodys again! We expected everything but not N.Legs, so when they dropped it made us laugh as you can see in the log. D; Grats Leo, after so long time they finally dropped!

In the same day a member of my LS posted that pic in the Forum saying we should kill this Fafnir (the pic says enough, lol):


The day after, the JP shout Group got Fafnir (for who doesnt play in Ragnarok: here there's a group of JP players that sometimes gathers at Fafnir/Nidhogg. This group is composed by random ppl got in White Gate by shouts...), but they weren't capable to kill it, so they CFH'd and escaped. Since we won the random, we waited till Fafnir HP were full and then we engaged it, at the end that's what it dropped...

Simply awesome, after so long time no one expected a Ridill anymore from Fafnir, so we were pretty shocked and actually very emotional in the chat comments about it. This Ridill went to Revenge, a member who really deserved this kind of item from long time, grats Rev!


After we got this Ridill, most of us were like "in another 50 Fafnir we'll see another Ridill", pretty positive about it huh? D; Eventho 2 days after...

What to say... Probably a smile could say more then a lot of words, I was simply speechless becouse I kinda gave up on it, I'm avoiding to post the chat log of the LS becouse I actually was veeeery emo and generally that's not me. D; So anyway, I'm very thankfull and accomplished by the hard work that most of the LS members are doing, I can just say again thanks, not only for the Ridill itself, but mostly for the tells that I always got before a Fafnir and after the Ridill dropped, that's what make a Leader, a person, be proud of playing in this group. Thanks guys!


So now I've to do tons of merit again... I was about to cap club (7/8), but now I'll go for 8 merits of sword and probably drop axe and club to lvl6.
I immediatly decreased the merits from Double Attack since I was hardly doing triple attack with my new toy and after the sword skill is capped I'll cap Berserk and Aggressor which at the moment are both at lvl3.
I tried the combo Mana/Ridill and Ridill/Joy in Caederva, Ridill/Joy won in the parser. I had only 2 merits in sword, probably the camp influenced the parser as well since the flys are weak to piercing (joy) and Jnuns to Ridill, I've to test more.
When I get the suppa I'll try the combo suppa/assault earring... It looks gimp, eventho I dont think that the Double Attack from the Brutal Earring will give any good to me at the moment, so I'll use it only in ws. My gear in TP gain is:

Head: Walahra turban
Body: Adaman Hauberk
Hands: Dusk Gloves
Legs: Byakko's Haidate
Ring1: Sniper's Ring +1
Ring2: Rajas Ring
Feet: Dusk ledelsens +1
Neck: Peacock Charm

In this way I can eat attack food without any problems, my accuracy with axe/kraken was almost everywhere around 90%, point more point less, same story for double sword in Mire, still have to test other camps.
So I actually wanna replace the Brutal with the Suppa and use the Brutal only in WS, I'd love to get a Divisor Ring to put instead of the Rajas and to replace the Dusk Hands NQ with HQ one, but at the moment no money for it! I'm keeping KA ToD so maybe a day I will replace my Swift Belt with a Velocious Belt.
Instead, my ws gear setup is:

I'm already pretty accomplished by my ws setup, I just wanna replace the Ear2 with a suppa (when I'll use Ridill as main weapon) and the waist with the Warrior's Stone.

Many test have yet to come, at the next update!

Me and my shell attempted to do Rossweisse's Chamber in Einherjar, we found tons of bats, a tiger and a Wivre boss.
I went as DRK this time, thinking that maybe a Souleter Kraken would make the things easier.
The bats were a bit annoying for the attack down spam, eventho they died very fast.
Seems confirmed that the Tiger is a "trigger" that if killed may spawn a chest with temporaney items, of course it didn't spawn anything to us.
The tactic for the boss is pretty easy, we tanked it with PLDs and our mages were ready to spam Erase since the Boss had an aoe attack down. First I tried to melee with Manaeter/Kraken, but even with attack food I had too many attacks for 0 dmg with the club, so I 2hr'd and then switched with Algol, which always made 50-150dmg/hit and over 200 if it was a critical. Absorb-TP always worked, so I could ws a lot, Spinning Slash always did from 300 dmg to 600. The boss went down very fast, the kraken wasn't needed at all, compared to the molboro that was a joke, I think we won in less then 20mins. Of course, crappy drops!



After a long time we focused again in Sea and killed a JoL in less then 60mins. Me and Kheld tanked again as RDM/NIN, so our WHMs could focus on healing Toyer Kraken-DRK and our BLMs could nuke without having fear of grabbing hate. What to say? It's probably one of the funniest thing that an RDM can do, like someone said in a previous topic, things like this makes the game still fresh. D;
For once Jailer of Love had some mercy and it dropped everything he could, so grats to Sepher for his Novio, Vivify for her Novia and Leosandro for his new torque!
